Don't let a mortgage company decide your future.
Here’s the truth ..... just because the bank says you can afford it doesn’t mean you actually can.
Let me say that again for the people in the back, mortgage approvals are NOT life plans.
Mortgage companies look at numbers on a screen.
They don’t care that you have three kids, a dog with an expensive allergy, or a serious coffee addiction.
They’re not factoring in braces, dance lessons, or the fact that groceries now cost more than your first car.
The bank might hand you a shiny approval letter and say, “Congrats, you can buy this overpriced castle!” But can you? Really?
You need to remember this ... life doesn’t care about your approval amount. Jobs disappear. Expenses pop up. That “dream home” could turn into a financial nightmare faster than you can say property taxes.
Let’s talk survival mode. Could you pay that mortgage if you lost one income? Or if your job situation changed? Or if inflation keeps laughing at all of us?
If you’re squirming right now, good. That’s your gut saying, “Maybe I should rethink this.”
Buy a house that makes sense for your life, not the bank’s spreadsheet. Because no house, no matter how beautiful, is worth living paycheck to paycheck.
And hey, do you really want to spend the next 30 years stressed out every time the water heater breaks?
Think smart. Live smart.
